Alvarez Unveils Shadowburst Finish Across Artist Series

Posted on January 20, 2016

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI- Following excellent customer response in 2015, Alvarez is pleased to announce the addition of a Shadowburst finish for every model in their award winning Artist Series.

“Previously the Shadowburst finish had only been available in our high end Masterworks line,” Says Chris Meikle, Alvarez Head of Development and Senior Vice President at St. Louis Music. “It’s a higher end finish that requires greater time and production, but we felt by adding this type of quality to our mid range instruments gave us a competitive advantage and a finish quality rarely seen at this price point.”

The Alvarez Shadowburst is an edge burst finish which gives a deep gradient of balanced color over the top grain and a mirror-like, glassy shine. Application is heavily researched and developed to ensure the superior aesthetic doesn’t come at the cost of tone, and Alvarez has worked for years to bring a thinness and quality to their finish that is rarely found in imported instruments.

Dealers are encouraged to visit the St. Louis Music NAMM booth in Anaheim this year to learn more or call their St Louis Music Representative at 800-727-4512 or email at [email protected].
