MD65CE Dreadnought Acoustic

Alvarez Masterworks are instruments designed to deliver in terms of tone, intonation, clarity and reliability, session after session, year after year. They’re beautiful professional guitars made from all solid, seasoned woods and premium components. Masterworks are exquisitely voiced, the separation and balance across the strings is instantly enjoyed and each note is clear and resonant. There is lots of bass and a sparkling upper register helping to give the player a full tonal spectrum to explore, which makes this series incredibly enjoyable to play.

The MD65 is a classically designed Dreadnought this time with a AA cedar top instead of spruce and solid mahogany back and sides. The cedar top creates a slightly more open, or warmer tone, often preferred by fingerpicking players, but dig in and this guitar will also respond very well. Maybe with a little less volume than the Sitka models, but still a powerful instrument when you need it to be. This acoustic-electric version is fitted with the awesome SYS650 blend system EQ that reproduces the guitar’s natural tonal characteristics superbly well.
